Bosco Mkombozi Karake
Mkombozi Karake is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with over 10 years post qualification experience in Audit, Accounting, Business Advisory, and Lecturing Professional Accountancy Courses and University Financial Management Modules. Mkombozi is currently the Financial Management Specialist at The World Bank. Before joining the World bank, he was the Chief Internal Auditor at the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD). He is an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR) having served as the Chairman of its Disciplinary Commission 2013/15 and served as the 3rd President and Chairman of the ICPAR Governing Council between 2015/17. Mkombozi holds a Bachelor’s of Science (1st Class Honours) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and an MBA from Delta International University. He has contributed to a number of Corporate governance and Leadership initiatives via trainings and workshops with in the region and beyond. Mkombozi has lived in Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia and his home country Rwanda.
